Bad bosses beware: a new Australian survey has found 82 per cent of office workers would rather quit their job than put up with a terrible manager.
The study authors believe this willingness to walk away from under performing managers is a direct outcome of Australia's low unemployment rate – currently the lowest in 32 years.
In other findings, over 75 per cent of respondents said they would refuse the offer of a higher paying job if the manager that came with the position had a bad reputation.
Twenty-six per cent of respondents said their current boss did not support their career development; 20 per cent believed they did not receive 'regular and honest feedback'.
